AI-powered travel planning system

As part of the ProFIT project "Athena AI", YGO GmbH is researching and developing a novel AI-based travel planning system. At its core is a multi-agent AI system that generates personalized itineraries in real time and bundles flights, hotels and activities into individually tailored travel experiences. The project is carried out at YGO GmbH's headquarters in Potsdam.

Project duration: June 2025 to September 2026 (17 months)

Goals and expected results

The project aims to fundamentally simplify today's fragmented and time-consuming travel planning. Specifically, it targets the following results:

• →Development of a multi-agent AI system that creates personalized itineraries in real time based on individual user preferences
• →Integration of advanced natural language processing (NLP) methods for intuitive, multilingual user interaction (German, English, Spanish, French, Italian)
• →Build-up of a scalable cloud infrastructure for low-latency processing of real-time data from hotel, flight and activity systems
• →Research into adaptive AI systems that respond to dynamic factors such as weather, traffic and unforeseen events and enable resilient travel planning
• →Implementation of personalized post-booking communication to improve user retention

On completion, the project delivers a production-ready platform that will be commercialized in the State of Brandenburg, contributing to growth in artificial intelligence, software development and digital tourism there.
